Gateway mt3422 Windows XP/7 Drivers and Details
I created this post on 2009, and today I was roaming on my old blog post to update outdated and broken links. I found out this post using mirror download link (long time ago it was up and running) and sadly it was removed by the file hosting site. When I search on Gateway site the support or this model is not available, I fond the original download page from Acer panama but it is hard to access the content. This model is capable of running 32-bit operating system since it only support maximum 2GB of RAM (PC2-5300)

Chipset* Installation:
Extract the driver file and don't run setup to install. You will see 2 folder which is windows vista32 (32-bit) and winvista64(64-bit), open the folder and run the setup located in that folder to install. Why? because it is originally windows Vista drivers, so the main setup only compatible with windows vista. So, we need to run specific setup in winvista folder in order to install it for windows XP. The original file is D20008-001-001, but the driver i posted above is the same version as the original and it is released by gateway.

How To Check Your Drivers Version
You can easily identify what driver version you have by looking at the specific driver properties. You can access the driver properties via Device Manager which available on all Windows Operating System.
For this example I will show how to check the graphic driver version:
1. First you need to open device manager
2. Next right click on any devices you want, then select properties.
3. After that click on the Driver Tab and you will see the Driver Version will show what driver version currently installed for your graphic.
You can also identify the driver provider and driver dates. Digital Signer will show wither your driver is digitally signed or not.

Certain devices not directly named as it should be such chipset is nowhere listed on the device manager. The chipset is categorize under system device, here is example Intel chipset 6 series:

This method will install Texas Instruments PCI-8x12/7x12/6x12 in Windows XP, Vista and 7. Normally Acer provide this drivers for Windows XP and Vista, it is hard t find windows 7 drivers version so for windows 7 you need to install it manually. For windows Xp and Vista just extract and run setup to install.

Download and Extract the driver files.
Installation for Windows 7 :

Lenovo Smart Phone Driver Installation
Today I want to transfer files between a Lenovo Android Smart Phone and My Desktop PC. Unlike my previous experience with Samsung Galaxy TAB, the drivers automatically installed right after you plug in the USB cable, Before that, a notification will appear on your Lenovo Smart Phone and Select "Open the USB Storage Device". Here is the screen-shoot of the drivers installation. ".
As you can see, the USB Mass storage device automatically installed which mean windows identified your smart phone storage and normally categorize it as a removable storage like Pen-drive and Card Reader. During this process you will not able to access your SD card.
