This time I will explain how to view the IP address on the computer with ease. When computers are connected to a network, that's when our computer has an IP address.
The IP address itself is a series of numbers / number used to identify computers, servers, other devices in an internal network or the Internet network based on TCP / IP.
There are so many methods of how to see the IP address on the computer, but I only used two common methods only, which is to see the IP address via the command prompt and see the IP address via Network Connections.
Method 1: View the IP address via the command prompt
1. Go to the command prompt in the Start Menu or by pressing Win + R, then type cmd and press Enter.
2. At the command prompt window, type ipconfig command to display information about the list of connections found on your computer, and then press Enter.
3. The command prompt will display the list of connections found on your computer along with its IP address.
Method 2: View the IP address via Network Connections
1. Go to Network Connections in the Start Menu or by pressing Win + R, then type ncpa.cpl and then press Enter.
2. Select the connection profile is active or you are using, and then right-click and then select Status.
3. To view the IP address along with other information such as subnet mask, default gateway, DNS and others. Please click Details.
Note: When you want to see the IP address on a computer. Make sure you are connected to the network.
