Toshiba Dynabook ss1700my Drivers and Details

First of all, it is hard for me to locate the origin of this model. I already check from Dynabook Japan Website and found it is not listed on the support site. So, I gathered all information I can get ( I got 5-6 users who shared the hardware information) and list out the drivers you will need for this model. Please install according to the order and reboot after each drivers installation if needed.

Here is my suggestion if you are using this model.

Recommended Operating system : Windows XP 32-bit
RAM : Default 1GB, you can upgrade it to 2GB
OS architecture :  Stay away from 64-bit Operating system unless you are a advance user. Use 32-bit operating system if you plan to use other OS such as Windows Vista, 7 or any other Linux distribution. 64-bit OS require at least 4GB of RAM.

Most of the drivers is provided by the Vendor and Lenovo, for certain download such as audio you need to agree with the term and agreement first.

1. Run windows updates. Install the available update for bluetooth. If if failed to install proceed with next step.

2. Open registry Editor and look for :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BTHPORT

3. Right click on those key and choose permission or authorization. Now click Advance button (at the bottom).

4. The owner account was "local Service", now change the owner setting to administrator.

5. After that tick the "Relace Sub-Entries permission box" (make sure it is checked).

6. Now re-install the drivers again. You may need to restart for second or third attempt to install he drivers. The drivers installation not necessarily success upon first try.

What if my notebook manufacturer didn't provide the Drivers for Windows 8/8.1?
You can use original drivers for windows Vista which work with both windows 7 and windows 8. You need to install it as admin and sometime you can also try to install in compatibility mode for windows vista or windows 7.
