HP ProBook 4420s Windows XP,Vista, 7 Drivers

All drivers listed here base on what HP released on their support site. I've remake the list by removing unimportant utility and list out the latest drivers you need to install. On HP website the drivers only available for Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. I've check the drivers and found out that some of the drivers support Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Choose one, Intel Rapid Storage Manager or Intel Matrix Storage Manager. IRSM normally recommended for Windows 7 and IMSM for Vista or XP. IRSM actually an improved version of IMSM where the boot time is noticeable in Windows 7. However you can still choose IMSM in Windows 7 if you want to.

Windows Could Not Load Installer For Battery Please Contact Your Hardware Vendor For Assistance

This error commonly caused by windows installation, it skipped or failed to copy batt.dll (file that related your battery driver) into windows32 folder. So there are 2 ways to solve this:

First method is to install the battery driver :
Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery - 5.1.2535.0

Second, you need to download the batt.dll from:
www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/B/batt.dll/5.1.2600.2180/download.html
copy ans paste the file in c:\windows\system32 folder.

Windows 7 Installation:
Before installing Windows 7 you need to make changes in BIOS.

1. Upon start press ESC and select ENTER SETUP
2. On the Advance TAB select Windows 7
3. On SECURIY tab Disable SECURE BOOT

Now insert you windows 7 Disk and you can start to install Windows 7.
